Diamond blade concrete cutting for floors, slabs, walls, and flatwork across Southern California.
Flat sawing is the core of what DSI does. Using walk-behind and ride-on diamond blade saws, we make straight, controlled cuts through concrete slabs, floors, asphalt, and flatwork — indoors or out, on any thickness. The cuts are clean, the edges are square, and the surrounding structure stays intact.
GCs and specialty contractors across Southern California call DSI for flat sawing because we show up with the right equipment, know how to read a slab, and complete the scope without creating rework for the next trade.
Flat sawing is the right tool whenever a horizontal concrete or asphalt surface has to be cut cleanly: trenches for new plumbing or electrical, openings for pits, elevators and stairs, removal of slab sections, control and expansion joints, and segmenting large floors so they can be broken out and hauled away in manageable pieces.
It is also the first step in most demolition and remodel scopes. A saw-cut perimeter keeps the concrete that stays in place intact and gives the next trade a straight, square edge to work from.
Every job is quoted from its actual scope, fixed-price or hourly. The main factors are:
All of our flat sawing is done wet, which controls respirable crystalline silica dust as required by Cal/OSHA's silica standard and keeps the blade cool. Slurry is contained and cleaned up rather than left for other trades.
We cut only inside marked and confirmed layouts, stop short of flagged utility zones, and recommend GPR scanning before cutting any slab where post-tension cable or conduit locations aren't confirmed.
DSI provides flat sawing from our Riverside yard across the Inland Empire, including Corona, Ontario, San Bernardino, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Moreno Valley, Temecula, Jurupa Valley, and we mobilize for projects in Southern California, the High Desert, Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley, the Central Valley, Northern California.
