Construction Roll-Off Bins & Dumpsters

Debris container delivery, placement, loading, and haul-off for construction and demolition job sites in Southern California.

What We Do

DSI delivers and places roll-off bins directly on your job site for construction debris, demolition waste, and material haul-off. Our crew loads the bins as part of the demolition scope — no need to coordinate a separate container company or wait on a pickup window that doesn't match your schedule.

Because DSI controls the bin and the truck, we can stage and swap containers to match the pace of the work and keep the site moving without interruption.

When You Need a Roll-Off Bin

Roll-off bins, often called construction dumpsters, keep demolition debris contained and off the ground while work moves forward. DSI delivers them as part of a demolition scope or for your own crew to fill, and swaps them on the schedule your job actually runs.

  • Interior strip-out and tenant improvement debris
  • Concrete and masonry from slab, footing and wall removal
  • Mixed demolition debris from building and site demolition
  • Roofing, drywall, wood and metal from remodels
  • Cleanup at the end of a phase or before turnover

Concrete and Heavy Debris

Concrete, block, brick and soil are heavy, and a bin filled to the top with them can be far over the truck's legal weight. Heavy material should go in bins planned for it, kept separate from mixed debris, and loaded to weight rather than volume. Keeping clean concrete separate also lets it go to recycling at a lower cost than mixed waste. When there is a lot of concrete, our Super 10 trucks are often the better option.

How DSI Bins Work

  1. Agree on the debris type, how many bins and where they will sit.
  2. Place bins where loaders and crews can reach them without blocking access or the street.
  3. Load as part of the demolition scope, or leave them for your crew.
  4. Swap full bins on schedule so work never waits on a pickup.
  5. Haul to recycling or an approved facility and leave the area clean.

What Affects the Cost of a Roll-Off Bin

  • Debris type, especially heavy material like concrete and soil
  • Number of bins and how often they are swapped
  • Distance to the recycling or disposal facility, and its fees
  • Placement: private property, or a street that needs an encroachment permit
  • Whether DSI loads the bins as part of the scope

Placement and Permits

Bins on private property generally need no permit. A bin in the street or public right-of-way usually needs an encroachment permit from the city. We will tell you what the location needs, and we keep bins covered or secured where the site requires it. Separating recyclables also helps meet the CALGreen construction waste diversion requirements on permitted projects.

Common Questions
Do your crews load the bins or is that on us?
DSI can load the bins as part of a demo scope, or deliver the bin for your crew to fill — whichever fits the job. Confirm the arrangement when you call.
Can you swap out a full bin mid-job?
Yes. Swap timing is coordinated directly with your site foreman so the bin moves when the work needs it to — not on a fixed pickup schedule.
What materials can go in the bin?
Construction debris, concrete, masonry, drywall, wood framing, and mixed demolition material. Call to confirm if you have a specific or unusual material.
Do you coordinate bin delivery with the GC?
Yes. DSI coordinates placement and pickup directly with your site foreman. The bin is positioned correctly from day one and picked up on your schedule.
Can I rent a bin without other DSI services?
Bins are mainly provided with DSI demolition and removal work. Call with your project and we will tell you whether we can supply bins on their own for it.
Can concrete go in a roll-off bin?
Yes, but it has to be planned. Concrete is heavy, so bins are loaded to weight rather than full, and clean concrete is kept separate so it can be recycled.
Do I need a permit for a bin in the street?
Usually yes. Most cities require an encroachment permit for a bin in the public right-of-way. Bins on private property generally don't need one.
